Hi everyone,

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. This semester was absolutely insane. I was so busy all the time that I barely had time to eat. In fact, I lost like 15lbs. If I wasn't at work, I was at school. If I wasn't at work or school, I was doing homework. It really just was beyond crazy. Now at last though, it is Christmas break, and I can breathe for a minute or two.

Let's see. What's going on in the wonderful world of Rasa? SO far I have an A and an A- in Japanese and Asian Civ respectively. I'm still waiting on my other two grades. Hopefully they'll be good.

Last Saturday, I hit a guardrail when my car spun out coming off the interstate. I'm not sure if the insurance will cover it, so that's my luck. It's going to cost 2575 to fix. I can't open the driver side door and the hood is kind of smashed up. I however, am perfectly sound.

What else? We have this great new friend, Art. She's awesome. We spend a lot of our free time with her. She's been getting me addicted to J-rock. She's moving to Japan in March so when I go there in May I'll have her to hang out with. She's a lot of fun, and we have a lot in common. Spending time with her reminds me of when I used to hang out at Tabs' house. I miss those days.

Anyway, I have to go to work again. I'll be back later tonight and try to post some more.

In less than 12 hours, I will be sitting in a classroom for the first time in four years. OMG, I'm so nervous. I have errands to run before I even get into class. My stomach is going crazy just thinking about it all. I'm sure I'll be fine, but still it's rather intimidating. At the same time, I'm really proud of myself. I was beginning to think I was never going to be able to go back to school, and yet here I am.

My schedule looks like this. My first class is English Lit before 1780 at 11:00am. Then I have African American Lit at 1pm. Asian Civ is at 2 and then I have Japanese at 3:30. I'm only taking 13 credits and all on MWF. It's going to be hard and weird.

Does anyone have any words of encouragement or some suggestions on how to help me get back into the school mindset?

To add to all of this, I got a new job. I've left the Barrel to go work at Ruby Tuesday. That way I'm only making the 40 minute drive into Staunton 3 days a week. RT is only 15 minutes from the house. I'll be working the grill making 9 dollars an hour (a ten cent raise from what I was making). I get a raise in thirty days, and I get day one benefits. It was a no brainer.

Anyway, I suppose those are the high points of my life right now. I should be thinking about bed now. We'll see if I can sleep. Wish me luck. :)

Hey everyone,

You're probably wondering about the odd title. Well, let me explain.

Tuesday, I had a little accident. A guy friend of ours, we'll call him Mr. Skullhead, was showing us his trapeze swing. I, being an idiot, decided to try it. So, I swung out, and right at the peak of my swing, I lost my grip and fell eight feet breaking my ankle in two places. They called an ambulance, and I took my first trip to the hospital. They doped me up on morphine, and I had surgery Wednesday morning.

I now have a plate and a screw in my leg. I'll be on crutches for the next six to eight weeks. I get my stitches out in two weeks.

So, be thinking about me while you're all having fun in Japan, and I'm laid up on a couch. Have fun, and remember don't ever listen to stupid boys.

I wrote this poem on the 1 year anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. I hate feeling like we celebrate the deaths of all of those people or cling to the horror that the event was. We should always remember, but we don't need to immortalize these tragedies in this way. It's morbid, and I think it encourages fear. I can't imagine being a small child and hearing about the 9/11 attack every year when the date rolls around. Instead of clinging to the memory of the horror, we should reflect on what we have learned from the travesty. This poem is about that. Don't misunderstand me. I'm not saying it's wrong to remember. I'm saying we should reflect in a more positive manner. Do we really need to see the videos of the towers on fire over and over again? I think those of us who watched it when it actually happened will forever have that image burned into our minds without the media's help. We need to stop remembering the fear, the sadness, and remember how our country pulled the pieces back together and supported each other through the difficult time. Without further ado, I give you "Freedom's Light"

So the crack has struck again. From the girls who brought you the chocolate list comes: The Red Muffin Mafia. XD

My little sister is the Godmother also known as Bella Donna, and as such, each member of DBSK has been inducted into her mafia. They all look really good in fedoras, so they qualify. Each member had to be given a proper name, and it was my job to select them.

Firstly, we have Micky the Lips. He's the second in command. This smooth talker will win you over and then give you a kiss of death. He's a cool liar and a ladies man.

Then, we have Babyface Max. He may look cute and adorable, but don't make him mad. He's got a nasty violent streak that usually turns... messy when he's mad.

Next, there's Gorgeous J. Those dark eyes hold more secrets than you can imagine and while he charms you and steals yours, he's plotting your demise.

That brings us to The Peacemaker. Jung Yunho knows the rules of the game, and he enforces them with an iron will. It's a good idea not to cross him, or you'll be resting at peace... permanently.

Last, but not least, The Chameleon. Blonde, red, brown, black... punk, classy, sporty, casual or dressed to the nines, Kim Junsu has so many faces it's hard to keep them all straight. Make sure you look twice or you may find a knife in your back.

Also in the Red Muffin Mafia, you'll find Typhoon, Attack (our number one hitman), GuitarJM, and Rose. Rose likes to team up with Gorgeous J to work a room, and when they work together, whole organizations fall.

Who am I? Wouldn't you like to know? I'm the Bella Donna's personal bodyguard. I have many names. Some call me Pyro. Others call me Muscles. No matter what you call me, if you try and lay a hand on the Godmother, mine will be the last face you see and I'll be smiling.

My sister and I had a lovely discussion the other day after she thought I had exclaimed "I ate chocolate Keita" when in actuality I said "I lit the chocolate candle". So here for your reading pleasure...

Shiny Boys and their Chocolate Flavors

Starting with Keita.

Keita = the best milk chocolate you can find whether it's dove, godiva, sees, belgian, ghirardelli..whatever. That's Keita
Ryuichi= chocolate with nuts... I think of him as a Symphony bar with the toffee and almonds cause that's just yummy.
Ryohei = dark chocolate cause he's so sensible and the most level headed of them all. Not saying he's bitter just more
mature.
Jin = chocolate with caramel cause we all know he's just gooey in the center
Kame = white chocolate overly sweet and best in small amounts

That's all for the J-boys. Now for the shiny K-boys.

Hero/ Kim Jaejoong = mint chocolate.... nummyness need I say more. Loved by most especially by us even more so by me.
Xiah/ Kim Junsu = raspberry chocolate... due to the most often seen red hair and how nice he looks in a hot pink shirt plus my sister's love of him and said chocolate.
Micky/ Park Yoochun = chocolate with peanut butter ... classy and loved by all plus very versatile matches with any form of chocolate. White, dark..etc.
U-know/ Jung Yunho = chocolate with crispies. Good, but not our favorite and because he's such a good pop dancer.
Max/ Shim Changmin= orange chocolate... truly loved but only by those of a select group.
Typhoon/ Jay Kim = chocolate truffle .... mmmmmmmmmmmmm his voice is all melty like the ganache in the middle.

There you have it. Crack in the form of chocolate goodness. So think about these things the next time you pick up your favorite candies. We had a Micky, a Hero, and a Xiah the other day. It made us happy in our little fangirl hearts even though my sister is totally in denial. Plus it sounds funny to say you have a Xiah, a Hero, and a Micky in a bag. XD. Hehehe

*dies laughing* Apparently my bird has good taste. I was just listening to Yamapi's Colorful, and he perked right up. He started whistling like crazy which is his usual reaction to music he likes. He's a crazy little cockatiel, but apparently he has good taste in music. I wonder what else on my playlist will get his attention.
